A little guidance goes a long way.

For the general sales mapper, use CSV or XLSX with column names in the first row. Values must be plain text or numbers, without formulas. The first XLSX worksheet is read. Files may contain up to 50,000 rows and be up to 5 MB.
For GSTR-1 and Tally
Include invoice number, invoice date, taxable value, GST rate, and a two-digit place-of-supply state code. Add a buyer GSTIN for B2B sales; leave it empty for consumers. Map columns in the workspace if your report uses different labels.
For Meesho reports
Choose Meesho in the GSTR-1 workspace. Extract your report archives, then add tcs_sales.xlsx, tcs_sales_return.xlsx and Tax_invoice_details.xlsx to their separate slots. The reader locates the data worksheet by its Meesho columns. Quarterly review has three monthly sets; upload all three reports for each month. A header-only report can confirm no activity, while a missing file stays missing.
The review preserves source amounts, signs returns separately and flags missing or ambiguous document matches. Order dates do not silently move transactions between report months. Download the review Excel to inspect its source rows and issues. Invoice and credit-note issue dates are absent from the index, so check the PDFs. Complete Meesho filing JSON and IFF adjustments are not generated yet.
The 36 source guides describe where reports come from. Other native marketplace formats still require verification; use the independent flat sales template for supported general conversion. A multi-sheet GSTR-1 or custom vendor workbook needs its own adapter.
For reconciliation
Choose 2B vs Purchase, 2A vs Purchase or 2B vs 2A, then select each file separately. Statement inputs accept B2B invoice JSON or a ZIP containing one JSON. Purchase inputs accept CSV or XLSX with invoice_number, gstin, taxable_value and the applicable igst, cgst and sgst columns. An optional invoice_date is compared when present on both sides. Matching uses supplier GSTIN and invoice number, ignoring case and spaces. The amount tolerance defaults to ₹5 for purchase comparisons and ₹0.50 for statement comparisons; its inclusive boundary applies to taxable value, total tax and each tax head. Every duplicate occurrence remains in the report and requires review.
Your account, trial and linked GSTINs
Each account can link 12 GSTINs across its seller and Tally tools. Your 30-day trial starts once for the account. After it expires, purchase the tool you need; the linked GSTINs stay with the same account. A new account cannot claim a GSTIN already linked elsewhere or start another trial for that GSTIN. The error does not reveal the other account's details.
Manage names and archived GSTINs from Your account. Archiving hides a business from the active list and keeps its slot and ownership link. For a legitimate account change, request an administrator ownership review. An approved transfer preserves the original trial expiry.
Save and restore seller or Tally drafts
After importing, choose Save draft to keep reviewed rows, source details, nil confirmations and Tally settings in your account. Saves are manual: save again after changes. After refreshing or signing in again, open Saved drafts, choose a copy and confirm Restore draft. Restoring replaces imports for that GSTIN, tool and period. A newer save in another tab must be restored before you can update it.
Each draft supports up to 50,000 source rows and 4 MB of reviewed data. If it is too large to save, download a review workbook before closing. Sample data, original upload files and generated returns are not included. Deleting a saved copy keeps imports already open in the tab. After a tool expires you can still restore or delete your saved copy; saving changes and generating reports require access.
For JSON utilities
JSON and ZIP inputs have a 5 MB limit, including expanded ZIP contents. A ZIP must contain exactly one JSON file. The validator preserves the uploaded original, lets you edit and recheck the JSON, and checks document-count arithmetic and supplied UQC codes alongside B2B/B2CS fields. It does not apply automatic business corrections. The error reader shows only error codes and messages present in a portal error report; ordinary return data is not treated as proof that validation passed.
Before a GST portal upload
The GSTR-1 export is a preparation draft for standard domestic B2B and B2CS supplies. HSN summaries, document summaries, B2CL, amendments, exports, credit/debit notes, reverse charge, cess, and special transactions are not generated. Complete these sections in your existing filing workflow. The validator checks supported fields; it is not a full GST portal schema validator.
Before importing into Tally
Create ledgers named Ecommerce Customers, Ecommerce Sales, Output IGST, Output CGST, and Output SGST in the selected company. The export creates accounting sales vouchers. Test the import in a backup company; stock items, inventory, and marketplace fee vouchers are not generated.
For invoices and notes
Choose the document type before previewing. Enter seller and customer addresses, GSTINs, place of supply and item classifications. A line discount reduces taxable value before GST is calculated. Credit and debit notes require the original invoice reference and date. The preview and Excel export use the same line calculations. Print or save the preview as PDF; invoices are not stored in your account. Numbering is entered manually. Invoice-wide discounts, separate consignee addresses, e-invoice registration and e-way bills are outside the current scope.
